Lets get started

With 2020 off to a rocky start (we’ve already looked at the impact of the coronavirus on Airbnb and the passing of Kobe Bryant), it’s important to remember how amazing travel can be. Despite the fears of the coronavirus and the negativity out there, people are still finding time to decompress, relax, and enjoy new sights, sounds, and tastes, all across the United States.

In 2019, TripAdvisor compiled a list of the top 20 destinations to visit in 2020. We looked through those and picked the top five places (which, incidentally, would also make fantastic Airbnb investments as well!).

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN

When people think of cities close to the northern border, the usual suspects often come to mind: New York, Boston, Seattle, Chicago, and maybe Detroit. However, one city often gets overlooked: Minneapolis.

That’s unfortunate because Minneapolis is a fantastic, family-friendly destination! It’s home to a whopping 55 museums, including a museum of art, a children’s museum, and a science museum. If you’re going to go, the summer and fall times will let you get out and explore without the cold and snow!

Chattanooga, TN

Named as the “Best Town Ever” by Outside Magazine, Chattanooga has something for the entire family. Since it has the river flowing through it, families can enjoy kayaking and boating! There are lots of places to jog, hike, and enjoy some delicious food. If you’re an outdoors type of person, then you will love Chattanooga!

Sacramento, CA

The capital of California offers a wide variety of activities for people who love food. Since Sacramento is in the heart of the agricultural section of California, it is well-known for its farm-to-fork tours and delicious restaurants. Of course, visitors can take in the beauty of the State Capitol building and also take a day-trip into San Francisco, without having to pay the San Francisco hotel costs!

Milwaukee, WI

Milwaukee is an underrated gem of the northern part of the country! If you love beer, cheese, sausages, and baseball, you will love this city. However, there’s so much more to it. You can walk the Milwaukee RiverWalk, take in the Harley-Davidson museum, and go to the public market. Milwaukee also has a vibrant sports scene with significant support for the hometown Brewers, and the Packers who are up north a bit.

Asbury Park, NJ

If you’re a fan of Bruce Springsteen, you will love Asbury Park because that’s where he got his start. This city has terrific clubs and after-hours places to eat, drink, and hear live music. You can even go to Stoney Place, which is where The Boss got his start. Fantastic cocktails, beer, and pizza are all available in this little town with a significant impact!

Travel In 2020

If you’re looking to travel in 2020, consider checking out one of these places! Of course, we’d recommend staying in an Airbnb. And, as a hospitality company, if you have a property in one of these cities that you’d like to rent out, get in touch with us today to become one of our partners!
